2007 Australian Design Awards

21 June, 2007 The 2007 Australian Design Awards were recently held in Melbourne on Friday 11 May 2007. The Australian Design Awards are committed to recognising excellence in Australian design. The Design Awards set benchmarks for quality and innovation, helping to generate exports for Australian designed products, and is Australia's only national awards program for product design.   Melbourne based company, Catalyst Design Group, has won the Australian Design Award of the Year for the Gator, a high powered LED bike headlamp that is visually simple and compact.   The 2007 Australian Design Awards also coincide with IP Australia celebrating the 100th anniversary of the first federally registered design.
