| Dot Asia domain names to be available first for trade mark owners |

19 July, 2007 Applications for domain names ending in .asia will open later this year. It has now been announced that a 'Sunrise' phase will be open between 9 October and 30 October 2007, to allow priority for holders of registered trade marks to claim a domain name for their mark, in the form trademark.asia In order to qualify for this phase, the trade mark owner must be in the Asia/Pacific region (including Australia), and the trade mark must have a filing date prior to 14 March 2004. Further sunrise phases will be available for more recently filed trade marks. Please contact Watermark for further information. |
