| WIPO releases the 2007 edition of the Patent Report |

17 August, 2007 The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has released the 2007 edition of their Patent Report. The report shows that the number of patent filings worldwide has grown at an annual average rate of 4.7%, with China and the Republic of Korea experiencing the highest growth rates. The report also shows that the number of international applications filed each year under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) is continuing to rise. The full report is available here. Craig Gleghorn |
