The Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia has relocated to our Melbourne office

1 November, 2007
The Secretariat of the Institute of Patent and Trade Marks Attorneys has now been relocated within the premises of our Melbourne Office.

Founded in 1918, the Institute is the representative body of the profession of patent attorneys and trade mark attorneys.  As well as providing a forum for members to discuss issues in relation to the profession, and to promote improvements in the law relating to intellectual property protection, the Institute also plays a major role in the training of patent and trade mark attorneys and in maintaining high standards in the professional conduct within the profession.

Three Principals of our firm are lecturers in the Academy set up by the Institute to assist in the training of patent and trade mark attorneys.  Furthermore, one of our Principals has been a member of the Institute Council for a number of years.

The last time that our firm has accommodated the Institute within their premises was in the mid 1980s and we warmly welcome them again to our Melbourne Office.  Further information in respect of the Institute can be found at www.ipta.com.au.
