Watermark

Calling WA Inventors and Innovators!
19 May 2008

Watermark is again pleased to be associated with the 2008 WA Inventor of the Year Competition, one of Australia’s richest competitions for inventors and innovators, offering more than $300,000 in cash and prizes.

The competition, which is in its third year and bigger and better than ever before, offers a fantastic opportunity for WA inventors to develop their innovations and take it to market.

The Business component to the competition, which will be of most interest to Watermark clients, has three categories:

  • “Early Stage” – for innovators with a clearly identified idea but who may require some further development of the idea before it is ready to market;
  • “Development” – for those who have developed their idea to a more advanced stage and possibly have a prototype or proof of concept of the idea; and
  • “Ready for Market” – for innovators who have a product or service that is ready to be licensed, manufactured or marketed and who have their business and marketing plans in place.
Regardless of the category entered or the stage reached in the competition, all entrants receive support through business and skill development programs, where innovators can receive invaluable insight and advice into getting their innovation commercialised, from attracting investment to marketing their product in the market.

Entry nominations close on 12 June 2008 – so you will need to be quick!
