2 June 2008 At a recent meeting of the Small Business Ministerial Council, Commonwealth, State and Territory Small Business Ministers agreed to implement a new on-line registration system for business names. The new system will enable applicants to apply for a national business name online through a single application. To register a business name nationally under the present system, separate applications are required in each State and Territory. The media release regarding the initiative can be read here.
