I have over ten years’ experience as a medical scientist having worked in both diagnostic and research laboratories within the health care sector. I have practical experience in DNA analysis, gene rearrangement studies and cell flowcytometry for the diagnosis of cancer and haematological disorders as well as immunohaemotology, and diagnostic biochemistry and microbiology.

I have a particular interest in biotechnology and its application in the healthcare sector. My patent practice includes pharmaceutical chemistry, molecular biology and its applications in the medicinal and agricultural fields, food technology and processing, nutraceuticals, diagnostic methods and vaccine technology. I also advise clients on plant breeders rights (PBR) and manage a portfolio of PBR for international clients.

I am responsible for Watermark’s in-house information services group and have a great interest in using patent mapping and competitive analysis to assist our clients in the strategic management of their intellectual assets.
