What do you get if you combine a keen cook, an aeronautical engineer and a sci-fi fan?
Christian Schieber.

“I qualified first as a patent attorney in Germany before moving to Australia and taking the exams to qualify here. What I love most about my work is the variety and the unexpected turns and the challenge of finding a business-relevant solution to my clients’ needs or problems. And then of course, a happy and satisfied client. ”

I AM: always in pursuit of a balanced outcome

Title: Principal, Patent and Trade Marks Attorney

Qualifications: Masters of Aeronautical and Space Technology (Dipl.-Ing.)

I have a Masters in Aero and Space Technology, so I’m familiar with hard and software solutions in the field of aircraft and propulsion technology. My areas of specialisation also include chemical engineering and process technology across a wide spectrum of industry applications, from mining and ore extraction to food technology as well as printing and image reproduction, flaming devices, elevators and lift systems, process technologies, such as waste management, internal combustion engines and turbines.

I also love trade mark work. Branding and helping clients understand what trade marks can and can’t do for their business, how to select marks, how to avoid getting in trouble with the big boys, and how to deal with pirates. To put it simply, real world business issues .

My knowledge of both European and Australian patent practice enables me to effectively assist local and overseas clients in implementing commercial orientated patent and trade mark strategies with consideration for the differences in the legal systems of Australia and Europe.
