Meet an electrical engineer, a music and audio buff and a keen weekend DIY man: Ray Tettman.

"I love nothing more that getting the tape measure out, sharpening the pencil and planning my next DIY project. I’m a big believer in having everything in order and running to a plan. It’s the same with managing intellectual assets for my clients. Making sure everything is aligned to your business objectives is paramount.”

I AM: like a dog with a bone: give me a problem and I won’t let it go until it’s gone.

Title: Principal, Patent and Trade Marks Attorney

Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical), Graduate Diploma in Management (Technology Management)

My main area of technical expertise is in electrical engineering, although my practice spans a broad range of mechanical and electrical engineering, electronics, telecommunications and software. I am especially interested in clean and sustainable technologies and, as such, head Watermark’s Cleantech focus group.

My previous experience in the power industry has led me to have a particular focus around renewable energy technologies, including wind and solar power, but I also act for many clients involved in other clean technologies including carbon capture, water collection and treatment, energy conservation and sustainable building materials.

Working with technology, and the people who develop it, is a constant inspiration. Making my contribution to the commercial success of their innovation makes for a fulfilling career.
